By installing or using ProseBop you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. What you are getting

ProseBop is a Google Docs™ add-on with an editor window. You paste text into the window, and it highlights words, phrases, and sentences for you to review. It makes suggestions only. You make every editing decision, and you copy the edited text back into your document yourself. Without a license key it runs as ProseBop Lite, which is free, checks up to 200 words at a time, and explains one category of flag in full. A license key unlocks the full version.

2. License

When you buy the full version you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for your own writing and editing, activated on up to three Google accounts using one license key. The license is a one-time purchase.

3. What you may not do

• Share, sell, post, or give out your license key.
• Copy, resell, redistribute, or sublicense ProseBop.
• Reverse engineer it, or try to get around the license check or the limits of Lite.
• Use it to build a competing product.

4. Your content

You own your writing. We claim no rights to it. The ProseBop editor does not read or change your document. You are responsible for keeping backups of your work and for checking any text you copy back into your document.

5. Price and payment

The price is shown on the Gumroad purchase page. Payment is handled by Gumroad under its own terms. Taxes are handled as shown at checkout.

6. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. Each customer may receive one refund. To request one, email support@prosebop.com. When a purchase is refunded or charged back, its license key stops working, and the add-on runs as Lite.

7. Updates and support

Bug fixes are included. A major new version may be sold separately. Support is by email at support@prosebop.com. We may change or retire features, and we will try to give notice of changes that remove something you rely on.

8. Ending the license

We may end your license if you break these terms, share your key, or charge back a purchase. If we end it for any other reason, we will refund your purchase price.

9. No warranty

ProseBop is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. It is a writing aid. It may miss issues or flag words that are fine. Its flags, notes, points, and ideas are not editing, legal, or professional advice, and we do not guarantee any result.

10. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost or changed documents, lost income, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of ProseBop, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

11. Third-party services

ProseBop runs inside Google Docs and uses Gumroad for payments and license checks. Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for them. ProseBop is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The updated version applies from the date shown above. If you keep using ProseBop after a change, you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, United States.
